Have your say on the Scottish Government’s Right to a Break for carer

We all know how much unpaid carers give every single day. And we also know how hard it is to get a proper break from caring. That’s why the Scottish Government’s consultation on a Right to Breaks for carers is so important.

This is your chance to make sure carers get the time and support they need - not just a quick rest, but real, meaningful breaks that help you stay well and able to care. The consultation asks about:

  • What “sufficient breaks” actually means in real life

  • The kinds of support that would make a real difference

  • How Adult Carer Support Plans and Young Carer Statements can help make this happen
