Carers Conference 2025

As part of Carers Week, Fife Carers Centre hosted our annual Carers Conference 2025, bringing together unpaid carers, professionals, and partners from across Fife to hear from guest speakers and—most importantly—to amplify the voices of carers.

We’re proud to share our Carers Conference 2025 Summary Report, which captures the powerful and honest feedback gathered throughout the day. This includes reflections on how services could better involve carers, whether we are moving towards greater equality, and what changes in healthcare would help carers feel seen and supported.

A huge thank you to our inspiring guest speakers:
Roy Lawrence, young carers Caitlyn and Jaiden, Claire Cairns (Coalition of Carers in Scotland), Tracy Harrison (Patient Flow Coordinator, NHS Fife), Lorna Brown, and Becky Duff.

Most of all, we want to thank every unpaid carer who attended. We know your time is precious, and we are truly grateful for your honest contributions.

Your voices matter. The insights shared during the event will be passed on to decision-makers in Fife, and to national carer organisations who will use your feedback to influence policy and shape future improvements for unpaid carers across Scotland.
