We want you!

Be part of the future of Fife Carers Centre - Join our Board of Directors!  We have a great opportunity for the right people! maybe you're someone at the start of building a career, imagine having "Director" on your CV!  or maybe you're recently retired and want to keep your brain supple, or maybe you just have a bit of time on your hands and want to contribute your knowledge and experience to help us keep supporting the carers of Fife.

Fife Carers Centre is a well-established and well regarded organisation working to support family and unpaid adult carers throughout the length and breadth of Fife.  Keeping us on track and planning our way ahead is our Board of Directors and we’re currently looking for people who can offer their time and skills to help this important service continue to grow and develop. Directors of the Fife Carers Centre take the final responsibility for the direction of the organisation and together the Board require a variety of skills and expertise that complement each other to ensure the success of the organisation.
We welcome applications from carers with lived experience of the role, and from anyone with knowledge of the world of charities, from fundraising, finance, HR and any other aspect of the business.  We value enthusiasm, creativity, energy and commitment just as much as formal qualifications.
If you think you have some of the skills we might require and have a few hours each month to spare then please contact Fife Carers Centre for further details and an application form.
We need people who can commit to a Board meeting at least six times each year with additional occasional development and planning sessions. This will average out at around 3 hours per month.
If you would like to know more or make an application to join the board please contact us at

Fife Carers Centre has a Befriending Service to help carers who are socially isolated to get back out into their local community and we're recruiting now for volunteer befrienders.
The befriending role will involve meeting up with carers, usually weekly, for 2 – 3 hours to have a friendly chat, go out for a cuppa or visit a local community resource. If you would like to know more about becoming a befriender or you know someone who you think would make a great befriender then please get in touch with us.
