Come along on Thursday 27th October at 1pm to Fife Carers Centre and bring your pins! We'll be having a Carers Craft Group meeting and making more stylish and beguiling wee hats for the Big Knit. there'll be coffee, tea, cakes & biscuits - just don't get it on the knitting!
Here's a sample of the hats we've rattled up at the office - think you can do better come along and show us! If you can't come along but want to take part take a look at the website for pattern ideas. http://www.thebigknit.co.uk/ Sylvia Brant, carer and new befriender is setting up a new carers group in Inverkeithing. They will meet for the first time on Wednesday 2nd November at 1pm and decide from there how often they will meet. As this takes place during befriending week, our befrienders will be going along to chat about befriending – how it is helping carers and the benefits to volunteers.
It is taking place in Inverkeithing Baptist Church, Church St, Inverkeithing, KY11 1LG. There is limited parking next to the church and further parking behind the shops opposite the church. It is absolutely without doubt that carers benefit enormously from getting together to share time together, learn from each other and have a bit of fun! So please go along and help get this group off the ground! BIG KNITTERS IN STITCHES!
Come and join us in our knitting circle at Fife Carers Centre on Thursday 13th October from 1pm to 3pm! We're going to be having a BIG KNIT session making teeny hats as part of the Innocent Smoothie BIG KNIT fund raiser to raise money for Age UK. We'll supply print outs of patterns, some yarns and possibly a few needles, not to mention the refreshments, and we need you to supply the clickity click and chat. If you have any oddments of yarn - particularly double knit or 4- ply - please bring them along as well as needles. We're going to carry on meeting every other Thursday until the year end and we'll send our efforts off. You can find out more information on the Big Knit website http://www.thebigknit.co.uk/
