WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are expecting a visit from an MSP for an hour or so on the morning of Tuesday 2nd July. The MSP would like to talk to carers who are in receipt of the Scottish Government's Carers Allowance Supplement. We only need half a dozen folk but at the moment with school holidays starting etc we are struggling to get anyone. If you got the Scottish Government's Carers Allowance Supplement this week and are available for a chat on Tuesday morning please get in touch. You can email Lesley.Childs@fifecarers.co.uk or phone us on 01592 205472 or send us a message on Facebook,
We'll throw in a cuppa and a biscuit too!
Thanks in Advance!

What do Carers think...

6/19/2019

Following the Carers Week Gathering Scott Fissenden the Change & Improvement Manager for Fife Health & Social Care is keen to continue the dialogue with carers and keep the connection going helping to gather more information to frame the further improvements they will make between now and next Carers Week.  To that end there is a survey they would like carers to complete.  You'll find it here - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MCZC927

Well done to everyone who was recognised for their support for the dementia Friendly Communities in Fife.  More than 4000 people in Fife have become Dementia Friends, including all the staff at Fife Carers Centre (Can you spot Lesley in the photo?!).  you could become a dementia friend too -  just go to https://www.dementiafriendsscotland.org/ and take part in the online training.

Welcome Andy

6/13/2019

Hello and Welcome to Andy Brogan - Andy is our new Carer Support Worker colleague. Andy has worked in the third sector for some time and brings to us a wide range of knowledge and experience. He will be supporting older carers in Levenmouth and North East Fife in his new role. He's spending a wee while familiarising himself with his new role but will be hitting the streets any day now!
