The Carers Group in Rosyth will not be meeting on the 7th July. The next meeting will take place on the 21st July.
Lesley and her info board set up home in all the Fife Sainsbury's last week as part of the Carers Week awareness raising programme. She was warmly welcomed in all the stores and saw plenty of interested and interesting people in the process.
Covering the walk from Kingsbarns to St Andrews Cindy Souter and Julie Sinclair from Fife Carers Centre and carer Pamela Adamson. Why did they choose to walk towards St Andrews rather than away? Jannettas Ice Cream of course!!!
Carer Support Worker Andy Egerton got on his bike and covered a decent whack of the coastal path. He started in Kincardine and made his way along to North Queensferry and in the afternoon travelled along from East Wemyss to Leven. Meanwhile Helen McFadden has trekked her wee legs off this week with joining walks all week! She and her partner Elric celebrated the end of their walk in fine style! Lovely chatty meeting with Claire Baker this morning. Claire popped in to hear about the work we've been doing recently with carers.
Fantastic effort from our Board Member, Ian Donaldson, who cycled from the start of the Coastal Path to St Andrews! Well deserved Bacon roll at the end of his effort!
Making the most of the fabulous weather Fife Carers Centre's Carer Support Worker Cindy Souter and husband John set the pace with a wee hike from Crail to Kingsbarns. Meanwhile Befriending Coordinator Helen McFadden and Deirdre Munro and Ron from FCCT headed out from West to East Weymss and then Helen walked back to Kirkcaldy. Carers from the Carefree Chorus Mary, Martha, Grace and Tom set out purposefully along Kirkcaldy Prom and clocked up 5 miles or so in the process. Everyone was wearing their very stylish Fife Carers Centre T shirts and developed a rosy glow to their cheeks in the sunshine!
Everyone was grateful for the water and snacks provided by Morrisons in Kirkcaldy for today so big thanks to them for their support too. |
