A free, plain-English session for unpaid carers on Wills and Power of Attorney, led by solicitor Jenny Wild of Boyd Legal. Find out what happens if neither is in place, for you and for the person you care for.
Caring for someone else usually means their needs come first. That often means carers put off thinking about their own legal protection, and sometimes don't realise that the person they're supporting needs protection too.
In this session, solicitor Jenny Wild will explain, in plain English, what a Power of Attorney and a Will actually do, what happens if neither is in place, and why this matters as much for carers as for the people they support. It's a practical, jargon-free talk aimed at giving carers the confidence to act before a crisis forces the issue.
Jenny Wild is a Solicitor and Notary Public and a member of The Law Society of Scotland. She works in Boyd Legal's Private Client department, specialising in Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Executries, and is known for guiding clients through sensitive matters with clarity and care.
There will be time at the end of the session for questions.
