Nature Connections – Dunfermline Outdoor Session

  • Billy Liddell Sports Compress Dunfermline, Scotland, KY12 0HS United Kingdom (map)

Join us for a Nature Connection experience at Townhill Woods with Jeanne-Marie, as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.

After a short introduction, we will walk five minutes into Townhill Woods where Jeanne-Marie will lead you through a series of mindful activities designed to help you connect with nature, reduce stress, and take genuine time out for yourself. Whether you spend a lot of time outdoors or very little, this session is designed to meet you where you are.

The session includes:

A mindful arrival using simple breathing and sensory exercises to help you shift from the busyness of daily life into a more present state. Guided nature awareness through slow walking and stillness, noticing sounds, textures, scents, and light. Optional connection activities including observing a natural element, creative reflection, or quiet contemplation. A relaxed, voluntary sharing circle. And a closing reflection on carrying that sense of calm into everyday life.

The atmosphere is non-judgmental, restorative, and inclusive. You will leave feeling more relaxed, present, and connected.

This event is free and open to unpaid carers across Fife.

Practical information:

Please arrive by 10:20am. The session runs 10:30am to 12:00pm. The walk is approximately 1.5km and terrain may be uneven and muddy, so please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. We kindly ask that no dogs are brought along, so that everyone can fully immerse in the experience.

Meet at the car park at Billy Liddell Sports Complex, KY12 0HS.
