Creative Breaks Fund

If you are a Carer living and caring for an adult in Fife, there is funding now available to help with the costs of taking a break from caring. The funding stream is called Time to Live, and is part of the Short Breaks Fund  - administered by Shared Care Scotland on behalf of the national carer organisations and the Scottish Government.
The current period of funding for the Creative Breaks funds available to carers is open and accepting applications.  The parameters for application have been reviewed so that the funding will be available to more people.  The maximum amount that can be applied for has been reduced to £300 and will not be available to anyone who has already had an award within the last two years. You can find the application form and the guidance notes on the Fife Voluntary Action website by following this LINK.
If you have any initial queries regarding the Creative Breaks funds available to carers , please contact Fife Voluntary Action on 08456 006 046 or call us at Fife Carers Centre.
If you want to know more about  Short Breaks take a look at the Shared Care Scotland website.  They have a national directory of  Short Breaks that you might find useful to take a look at to help
with ideas and demonstrating the different options  that exist for Carers.
