The Fife Carers Emergency Card identifies you as an unpaid or family carer and means that if something unforeseen should happen  to you that leaves you unable to be there for the person you care  for your emergency plan can be put into operation and the person you care for be looked after.
Having the card gives  carers the confidence that the right kind of support is there when they need it, 24 hours a day whether the emergency is big or small.

In addition to the red carers card you will also be sent a green card that can be carried by the person you care for, so that if something unforeseen should happen to them when you are not present you can be contacted.  We'll use the contact details we have for your red Carers Emergency card.  If you are not contactable Social Work will be alerted to make sure the person carrying the card is safe.

There is no charge for the service. To submit your emergency plan and apply for free Fife Carers Emergency Cards all you need to do is call Fife Carers Centre on 01592 205472 to request an application form or you can download and print off a form to complete here.  Competed Forms should be returned to Fife Carers Centre.
