This information session is for parent carers of children who have additional support needs and are in the 10 to 20 age range.  The purpose of the session is to help these parent carers to prepare for their child's transition to adulthood and will cover topics such as:
  • What is meant by Transition.
  • Choices available to young people in Transition.
  • Making decisions on behalf of an adult with incapacity.
  • Benefits and Finance.
  • Self Directed
    Support
  • Long term planning for the future
